Hello baby! Can you believe it’s February already? Well we all know the most important day in the month is Valentine’s Day! We’ve all seen the V-Day candy and gift aisles in stores so ready or not, it’s coming. No matter if you hate or love the holiday, single or taken, myself and a few amazing beauty bloggers have decided to do 14 days of Valentine’s Day nail art! So after my post they’ll be a widget where you can see their posts too! I’m pretty excited about it.
Here’s how it works. Everyday I’ll be posting different Valentine’s nail art. Some will even be anti- Valentine’s nails. I’m going to try to keep the art simple so everyone can copy it. Four days will feature nails with stamping, four using nail vinyls and 6 days of nail art you can create with household items or freehand. Day 1 of 14 Days of Valentines is Sideline Godiva.
I used Zoya Hannah and Zoya Godiva. Hannah is a clear classic red from the Zoya Focus Collection. It was made to be a little see-thru. Godiva is one of my favorite Zoya polishes. It’s a nude gold, matte, sugary sparkle. It’s apart of the first PixieDust Collection.
I applied 3 coats on Hannah, let it dry then 1 coat of Seche Vita top coat. Let that dry.
I used striping tape on both sides of nails (you can use regular tape too) and applied Godiva. PixieDusts get thicker and opaque as they dry so I applied about 4 thin coats and let them dry in between coats. Make sure you remove the tape quickly while it’s still wet so you get a straight line.
I chose not to apply a top coat over it because Godiva is matte and textured. If you’re worried about chipping just carefully apply a top coat over the red.
It’s a simple and elegant look that anyone can do. Check out my cliques nail art for today. See you tomorrow!
