Welcome the Sinful Colors holiday 2011 collection, Wish, which delights and excites. The collection takes classic colors – like red, green, silver and blue – and kicks them up a notch to be fashion-forward and festive to ring in 2012.
The complete Sinful Colors Wish collection for holiday 2011 includes:
Five gem-inspired shades of polish
Sugar Sugar (candy cane, red-hot tint)- It has gold flecks in it but they barely show on the nail. The formula is thick and it’s moderately opaque. I used two coats for the coverage below.
Midnight Blue (bold, bright twist on navy)- A true blue, vibrant metallic shade. Takes about 2 coats but it’s a bit streaky after it dries.
Last Chance (emerald with depth and allure)- My favorite of them all. The shade is nice but the formula is fabulous. It’s a perfect gel/creme and is very opaque. Takes 1-2 coats.
Daddys Girl (deep purple with a drizzle of shimmer and glitter)- Like the shade but meh on the formula. The formula is thin and watery but and it’s quite sheer. Took 4 coats and it’s still not completely opaque.
Out Of This World (perfect silver with swirls of glimmer)- I really like this one. It’s super sheer but buildable. I guess it would be great for layering. Five coats needed for this coverage.
Two metallic shades of nail art
Fashionista- Now this one is not going anywhere after it dries. Which is good and bad. It was a pain to take off but I wasn’t worried that it chip away.
Flowergirl- Formula is too thick for nail art. You can’t be very precise with it. If you swipe away the excess beforehand you’ll end up going over it again and again so the color shows up.
For $1.99 the quality surprised me. I thought since the formula was so thin it was just going to chip away. I’ve been wearing them for a couple of weeks now without topcoat and each shade didn’t start chipping until after 4 days. Even then it was barely noticeable; I have bottles of polish cost over $15 and chips the next day. They all dry fast and for $1.99 each is a steal.
