The Lavender & Wild Orchid Dry Oil Mist ($8.99 for 4 oz.) was better than I thought it would be. It’s “dry” oil so you won’t experience any greasy or heaviness but you’ll have hydration and moisture that lasts all day long. It’s actually pretty freaking great. I do not, I repeat, I DO NOT use any other body moisturizer with this. It’s quicker and better than using lotion. I HATE to admit it but even prefer using this over the pure Coconut Oil I’ve been solely using as a body moisturizer for over 6 months now. I spray about 2-5 pumps of the Dry Oil Mist per limb and on my torso and rub it in. It’s spreads amazingly!
I do have a few issues. I’m not fond of the scent, it’s not as sweet as I’d like but that’s a personal preference. It’s 3 other scents available and I’m sure I’d like one of those better. My second issue is that if I use it 1-2 times everyday I’d probably need 2 bottles a month so that’s about $18 plus tax per month and that’s out of my budget. Mind you, I am a plus sized diva AND I have dry skin so I use more than you probably will. If price is also your concern there are always sales on Shea Moisture products. BUT… The Dry Oil Mist seems to be only available at Target for now and I’m not sure if they do BOGO sales like Walgreens often does.
I can’t completely replace this over my beloved Coconut Oil because I love the effects of that. If Shea Moisture creates a bigger size of their Dry Oil Mists and had one with just coconut oil this would surely be the only moisturizer I use. For now, I alternate using it. With all that said I 100% recommend this to everyone and I will always have this in my arsenal. This product is amazing.
