Fresh on the scene. Shea Moisture releases their new organic Body Butters and I got my hands on the Coconut & Hibiscus.
What’s the difference between body butter and lotion? Glad you asked.
Body butters are heavier and ideal for dry and damaged skin. They are normally full of natural ingredients and create a barrier on your skin to seal in moisture and protect the skin. They are thick, luxurious and come in a variety of wonderful scents.
Your average lotion is basically a moisturizer for your skin. They are lighter in consistency, quickly absorbs and doesn’t last as long.
I’m nothing but a fan of body butter. Addicted even but some of my favorites at $20 and up for a small amount and I can’t afford to use them daily. This baby is full of all-natural ingredients. The coconut oil helps nourish and firm skin while the hibiscus flowers helps treat dry skin and improve skin tone.
I use it directly out the shower, it’s thick and heavy. The coconut and hibiscus scent is apparent but not overpowering. It was moisturizing and quickly absorbed. The scent lingered on my skin all day. At $10 these Shea Mositure butter are affordable and will stay in my arsenal.
*Each SheaMoisture Body Butter absorbs quickly with no greasy residue, and does not contain parabens, sulfates, phthalates, mineral oil, gluten, synthetic fragrance or artificial color.*
