As women we are born to shave. Hair removal sucks let’s face it. So we spent our time and money trying to figure out the most effective ways to remove hair. So we have a drawer, THAT drawer, full of hair removal junk that we hate, like or used to like.
I’m apart of the Buzzagent program and they sent out a razor to try. Upon opening it I didn’t see anything special. I threw it in my “to try” drawer and kept it moving. For body hair removal I use Magic Shave or a razor depending on how much time I have. The razor that I was using was the Gillette Venus and I was happy with it.
I grabbed my EOS shaving cream and finally tried the Schick hydro. A series of confused thoughts developed in the shower. I first wondered if it was even working because I could feel the blades. I looked down at my legs and saw it was working so I moved on. I was rushing so I didn’t finish or think twice about the shave. The next day I wondered if I was even supposed to use shaving cream with it because that’s the mistake I made with the Gillette Venus. I tossed the EOS and I noticed that it got slippery under water so I used it alone. It has a water activating moisturizing serum that helps with irritation and not to be confused with shaving cream. Oops. But before I learned about that I had already used it a few times and was happy with the shave. So those guards really work well. So for those of you who are nick prone you might want to grab this.
The Schick Hydro was replaced my Gillette Venus. I love the 5 blades, the guard and the serum. The only thing I don’t like about it is that it’s not underarm friendly. Even though Schick claims the blades are “Curve-Sensing” I didn’t experience that. I took a really long time to get a clean underarm shave and I had to hold my arm as straight up and back as possible. I normally use my magic shake cream for my underarms anyway because it removes the hair smoother and lasts longer but still it was a major pain trying to use the razor.
Have you tried this?
