Hey Loves! Last week I posted some new information about Make Up For Ever’s new Aqua Liners. Today I’m back with some swatches and a review! XOXO
I’m the type person that has to wear eyeliner, my eyes look way more bright and defined. Even on my “no makeup days” I have to least put eyeliner on. So when I hear about new liners, especially bright colors, I get a bit excited. Make Up For Ever is one of my favorites brands mostly because they offer a large range of colors but their products are so pigmented and long-lasting.
When I first saw these new Aqua Liners I was highly impressed at the range of colors they offered. To be honest I’m not really a fan of liquid liners, I am TERRIBLE at applying them. Liquid liners are notoriously hard to apply, not only do they dry slowly and smudge quickly but they don’t seem to last long. I wondered what made these $23 liner different from the rest.
Claims
- 100% Waterproof
- Highly Pigmented
- Easy Application
- Buildable result
- Long-lasting
Do they live up to the claims?
They sure do! The first thing I noticed was how extremely pigmented they are, and yes they are buildable but one layer is more than enough. I have NEVER been able to wear liquid liner on my lower lash line (NOT MY WATERLINE). My eyes tear up multiple times during my makeup application so as soon as liquid liner touches my lower lash liner it rolls right down my face. Which is the reason why I was extremely happy that these liner dry so quickly and are waterproof. I was able to apply this on my lower line and it dried before my baby tears could wash them away. AND IT STICKS! Aqua Liners contains 50% more polymers (a safe chemical that allows the liner to last long) than traditional eyeliners. I ran warm water over my hand for 2 minutes straight and it was no fading or lifting. They lasted more than 6 hours on my eyes and didn’t budge.
I would recommend Make Up For Ever Aqua Liners for everyone. They come in 15 shades and 3 different finishes- diamond, iridescent, and mat. There is a color for your natural looks as well as your fun and bright looks. The applicator is one of the best I’ve seen, the stiffness makes it easy to draw a straight line even for those who are inexperienced with liquid liners. If you want a eyeliner that’s super pigmented, long-lasting, waterproof, and easy to apply then Make Up For Ever Aqua Liners are for you and worth the price.

These products were a press sample provided to me for review.
Make Up For Ever has created a Liquid Liner 101 guide for the Aqua Liners release.
1. Draw a thin line of liquid liner centered on the upper lash line directly above the pupil.
2. To create the liner “tail”, choose the end point of your tail slightly above and outside the natural lash line. Then, with your eyes open and focused forward, draw a line from the tail’s end point down toward the outer corner of the lash line.
3. Next, with the eyes open and focused forward, draw a line from the end of the tail connecting it to the liner on the center of the upper lash line. Continue these strokes until the tail is completely filled in.
4. Finally, draw a liner from the inner corner of the upper lash line to the middle of the upper lash line, connecting the two sections.
