Hello Orly Melrose! Freshly released, Orly decided to pay homage to the shopping mecca street with 6 fun and flirty shades for spring.
A baby lilac Pearl Shimmer with a hints of pink, purple and green. I used 3 coats and it almost got completely opaque.
Green mint creme. I love these vibrant shades, you can have so much fun with them. I used 2 coats.
FEEL THE FUNK
As soon as I opened the package I had to put this on! It is beautiful and the pictures don’t do it justice. I don’t know when was the last time I felt this way about a polish. If you don’t get anything else, get Feel The Funk. It’s such a beautiful holographic glitter. I’m ordering a backup as we speak, it’s one of my favorite polishes now. You can use one coat as a topper and 2-3 coats to wear alone. I love wearing it alone.
A pinky-peach shimmer. You can barely see the shimmer when worn but there’s ton of it as you remove it. There is something wrong with the formula. It was thick and it felt gritty. I had to use 3 coats just to get it to look good. I did put some polish thinner in it and it got better. It must be worn with a top coat to smooth it out. I asked someone on instagram if they had the same problem with it and she confirmed.
HIP AND OUTLANDISH
This turquoise creme is clearly the sister of Vintage. *pay no attention to my failed attempt at hearts nail out* I used 3 coats.
Last but not least is a deep raspberry creme. Not my favorite of the bunch but only because of personal preference. These shades just don’t do it for me. I think it would be gorgeous and really stand out on light skin tones though.
Alright, there you have it. The Orly Melrose Collection. Beside those couple of issues with Trendy, it’s a solid collection. My favorites are Vintage, Feel The Funk and Hip & Outlandish. And they look good together don’t they?
The collection should be rolling out this month at Sally’s, other retailers and OrlyBeauty.com for $8.50 a bottle.
