If you’re unfamiliar with Birchbox it’s a monthly deluxe sample box that includes skin care, cosmetics and hair care products. The point is to expose you to different products and brands. It’s only $10 a month and you certainly get your money worth.
1. Jouer- Moisturizing Lip Gloss in Glisten- $20
It’s an everyday golden sheer gloss with shimmer. It’s too thick & sticky for my taste and certainly too expensive.
2. Kate Spade perfume- Twirl- $65 & $80
Twirl is a clean, fresh, Springy scent. I’ll wear it but it’s not something I’d buy.
3. Nuxe- Reve De Miel Ultra Comfortable Body Cream- $35
I actually really like this cream but for $35 I’ll stick to Eucerin lol
4. Pureology- Strengthening Control Zero Dulling Hairspray- $25
I haven’t tried this yet. I’m not really a hairspray gal I’m more of a serum girl.
5. Tatcha- Aburatorigami Blotting Papers- $12
I haven’t tried these either but $12 for 30 blotting papers isn’t bad.
6. Herban Essentials- Orange Towelettes- $15
Can’t wait to try these out. Detoxifying, germ killing towelettes are great for the summer.
This was my first Birchbox and I just feel so-so about it. You don’t know what you’re going to receive in your box; it’s a total surprise, which can be good or bad. Everyone doesn’t receive the same products, its 2-4 different boxes that go around. You might see that so-and-so got this and that in their box and get excited but when you open yours it can be a big let-down. I’ll probably keep my subscription for 2 more months then let it go if I’m not getting any use of the products. It’s inexpensive but what’s the point of spending money for products I don’t like.
