Milani Shadow Eyez Pencils are multitasking babies can be used as a shadow base, eye shadow or liner. I used them as a base to get my shadows to pop more. Apply them to the eye and blend it out with a brush quickly because they will set. These Shadow Eyez are long-lasting and barely smudge. They aren’t exactly waterproof but they are water-resistant. With the exception of Winter White they did not crease when thickly applied. If you just put a sheer layer on you’ll probably see creasing. This is honestly the only eye “base” that I have that just will not crease even over a primer. My MAC Paint Pots, Make Up For Ever Aqua Creams and other shadows will all crease after a few hours. I can use these and come home at the end of the day with fresh looking eyes.
Brown Deluxe is probably my favorite. It’s the most pigmented and gives the best results out of all the other colors. Winter White (at least the one I have) applies unevenly and has the least pigmentation. All of the rest give great color payoff, are super creamy and spread easily.
Please please please put the cap on tightly. I left cap off on the purple one overnight and it dried out. Once a lot of cream products are dried out they are just done. I was so bummed but I sharpened it down a bit and it was creamy again. So that’s a plus!
I’m really hoping Milani will expand the shades because these are wayyyyy better than NYX Jumbo Pencils and MAC Paint Pots.
