We popped corn oil, polenta, maize flour and cinnamon in here. The perfect recipe to gently exfoliate, moisturise and soften your skin for those times when you want to get ready for close-ups.
Ok so every year Lush has a wonderful sale the day after christmas. This year they had Buy One Get One on about 50 items so of course I lost it and ordered a bunch of stuff. I just bought this because the other cleanser was sold out and I had an odd number of items in my cart. I really didn’t want it because I am not a fan of popcorn scented products but I am SO HAPPY I got this!
*Gross looking facial products are really the best*
Let The Good Times Roll was introduced in the limited edition Christmas collection. I’m happy to tell you that because of its popularity it’s now apart of the permanent collection!
This was my first Lush facial cleanser. When I first cracked it open I was surprised I didn’t hate the scent. I went to apply it that’s when I fell in love. The smell is AMAZING! It’s like a strong caramel apple, buttery scent. I really REALLY love it. The scent even lingers on your face a while, you might even be able to smell it under your moisturizer or makeup. It’s just awesome. I have seen some people say they found bits of popcorn in the jar. I haven’t reached the bottom of the jar so I won’t say that isn’t true but I haven’t found any (and I hope I don’t).
Out the jar it’s thick and a tad moist. Before you apply it wet one hand and rub your hands together until it creates a mud like texture. At first I wanted to apply it like a mask for some reason so I was using too much. You’ll need more than the recommended pea size but the amount shown above you should be fine for your whole face. Just work it into your face and rinse off. It’s a little grainy but not grainy enough for me to consider it a scrub so it’s not abrasive.
My face felt good and smelled good. Let The Good Times Roll had my face feeling super soft and fresh. I was trying to sniff my own face for like 20 minutes. I wouldn’t classify this as a moisturizing cleanser. It didn’t leave me feeling tight but I did feel a little dry so I do apply a moisturizer after. I would recommend you wipe your makeup off before using this. I can’t see it being able to clean through a full face. I like to just use my hands with it since it has a thick texture, you might end up wasting product if you use a clarisonic.
This has become a permanent staple in my skin care collection. I recommend this for all skin types. Dry skin divas will enjoy the light exfoliation and Oily divas will like that it’s not overly moisturizing.
