NO-LYE RELAXER ($8.99)
Whenever I do in-home relaxers I use Dr. Miracle’s. This No-Lye Relaxer is made with essential proteins to help prevent breakage and strengthen strands while straightening. It has recently been reformulated with 3X more conditioning agents. They’ve also added Vitamins A and E to promote healthy hair growth. It straightens my roots and doesn’t burn as much as other relaxers.
As a bonus some boxes include Deep Conditioning Treatment Packet (1.69). This is made for breakage, dry scalp and slow growth. It’s recommended to keep it on for 60 minutes but I left it on overnight. My scalp tingled all night. My hair has never been so soft after I used this. I ran to Walgreens to grab more treatments. I was completely in love, plus it smells like peppermint.
EDGE HOLDING GEL (2OZ, $5.49)
I can’t stand hair gel! I have flashbacks of that gel in the black jar (you know the one) that everyone seemed to use in middle/high school. It gave a strong hold but it was so thick, brown and left a flaky mess behind. Dr. Miracle’s edge gel gives a strong hold with conditioning shine without flaky up or feeling just gross. I like it because it’s clear, smells good and doesn’t require you slap on a lot so it works. It’s blended with Jojoba oil, promising to create long-lasting hold for sleek styles. All I see when I go in stores and look for this is an empty slot; it can’t stay on the shelves!
ACAI THERMAL PROTECTION STYLER (6OZ, $5.99)
This heat protector is formulated to protect hair from intense heat styling, it’s rich in Acai Berry extract to moisture as it adds shine. I don’t really see too many differences in heat protectors. I like this one but it’s only made to used while your hair is still wet.
DAILY MOISTURIZING LOTION (6OZ, $3.99)
This has been enhanced with a blend of Jojoba and Coconut oils. This Daily Moisturizing Lotion is a good option for keeping hair strong, soft, and manageable. I’m not a fan of moisturizing lotion because I think they weigh your hair down, I prefer serums. I will slap some on if I’m wearing a wig or weaves.
DAILY MOISTURIZING GRO OIL (4 oz, $8.39)
Gro Oil is blended with Vitamins A, D, E, Avocado and Aloe Vera for healthy hair growth. I like this more than the moisturizing lotion. As long as you don’t use a lot it won’t weigh your hand down. You could also use this for hot oil treatments and to grease your scalp.
DEEP CONDITIONER (6OZ, $4.99)
This Deep Conditioner has promised to revitalize hair’s natural health and put an end to breakage and dry scalp. I actually really love this conditioner not just because it smells of peppermint. It makes my scalp feel so refreshed.
I was actually quite impressed with this line. I had only used the relaxer before but I will definitely purchase other products in the line. They also have Conditioning Shampoo, Leave-in Conditioner, Oil Sheen Spray and Neutralizing Shampoo and more. Natural Hair? Don’t fret Dr. Miracle recently released the Curl Care collection for my natural hair divas.
