Golden Sage (olive-green) – To me this was the unique color in the collection.
Perpetual Purple (violet purple)- Nice clean purple but nothing that can’t be duped.
Midnight Blue (navy blue)- Very pretty deep blue, great for night looks.
Midnight Blue and Perpetual Purple have more shimmer in them than Golden Sage. They all have great color payoff but need to be built up a bit for super intense color. I’m not sure if you can use them wet but I did. When swatched wet they looked more sheer. They look like loose shadow moderately pressed and they come with a press under the lid to keep them that way. Most of the colors available are satin and/or shimmery but there is one matte tan color. Midnight Blue is very similar to Inglot’s 483 shadow.
Please wear a primer and a base with these shadows. They are nowhere near 24 hour eyeshadows; I got about 6 hours of wear with them. And they didn’t just fade they disappeared but at least they didn’t crease up after I put them on.
For weeks it’s been all this buzz around these shadows because they are said to compare to Armani’s Eyes to Kill Intense Eyeshadows. I don’t own any of those $32 Armani eyeshadows so I can’t compare. If I didn’t have colors similar to rest of the L’Oreal Infallibles I’d be all over them, it’s a good product for a good price.
Try this tip when applying: Start with a primer. Then use a firm brush or your finger to apply. Pat on color and build-up to achieve your ideal color intensity.
