I picked up my first Pur Minerals product about 4 years ago and it was the 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Makeup Powder. Today it is still only 1 of 2 powder foundations I use. Pur Minerals does foundations and face products very well and I have 3 to show you today. Pur Minerals is also Cruelty Free.
4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Makeup Powder- $23
The Four in 4-in-1 stands for concealer, primer, foundation and SPF. All together it pretty much gives you all you want in a foundation. It’s Available in 11 shades. I started using the original version of the powder but a couple of years ago they added skincare ingredients and expanded the shades. I like it because it gives great coverage and you can build it up without it looking cakey. I spray some MAC mineralized charged water on my face and buff the powder in with a Kabuki Face Brush for a flawless look.
4-in-1 Liquid Foundation- $36
The 4-in-1 liquid foundation is like the powder but jam-packed with more benefits. It’s a great coverage foundation with transfer resistant long-wear, built-in primer benefits, SPF, and anti-aging skincare. What I like about it the most is that it’s self-setting, so you don’t have to apply powder over it. But you can apply a little of the 4 in 1 Pressed Mineral Powder or another powder on top for maximum coverage. It’s also oil-free and dermatologist-tested. I use 1 pump if I’m using a concealer and 2 if I’m not. It doesn’t feel heavy and is not cakey. It’s available in nine shades.
CC Cream- $38
Admittedly I wasn’t the biggest BB cream fan and when CC cream came out I pretty much rolled my eyes. I have acne scars and hyperpigmentation so I really didn’t believe BB creams and CC creams could give me the coverage I needed. The Pur Minerals’s CC Cream acts like a moisturizer, brightener, primer, concealer and SPF foundation with an added bonus of SPF 40. I put this on and I fell IN LOVE, it gave me coverage and felt almost as light as a moisturizer. Only problem is that it was too dark. So I cried. Then I went to Ulta to exchange it for the Tan and got home to find it was too light! Just a smidge too light too, it makes me look ashy. This had major potential to become a HG product. I wish they had more than 4 shades. I could probably mix the Tan and Dark together but I’m not paying double the price.
Liquid Chisel Brush- $23
For use with the liquid foundation. It was shedding a little too much for my taste when I pulled it out the packaging and during use. I’d skip this brush.
Available at Ulta, Kohl’s and PurMinerals.com
