CraveBox- A Taste Of Tropics
I had just about given up on subscription boxes when I saw Cravebox tweet about having a drawing to snag a spot for their service. So I looked up posts about previous boxes and I entered just for the heck of it and I won.
Sunsweet Plum Amazins– (9 oz for around $2-$3)
These are ok. They taste like raisins but a little bitter. They make for a healthy snack if you’re into that kind of thing.
Tree Hut Coconut Lime Shea Body Scrub– (three 18 oz jars for $20.97)
I was most excited about this item! I can’t believe CraveBox gifted us a full jar. Sometime over the last year I became infatuated with scrubs. It’s smells soooooooo good! It’s thick, moisturizing and not abrasive. Did I say I love the smell?
Skintersection Intense Repair Cream– (2 oz for $17.95)
Lord knows I needed this. My feet and elbows stay rough all year around. This doesn’t have a smell. It’s crazy, super thick and long-lasting.
Lipton Tea & Honey To Go Pack in mango pineapple- (0.13 oz 10 packets around $2.50)
Available in 6 flavors. Klout sent me like 10 packs of these a couple of weeks ago so I was familiar with this. I was surprised that it tastes good considering I dislike mango. Most importantly it’s flavorful and potent.
GuyLian Artisanal Belgian Chocolate Sea Shells– (price depends on size & only available at select retailers)
These arrived melted but the fat girl in me ate them anyway. They’re super good, cute and creamy.
I’ve tried tons of sample boxes and none of them worked out. In fact most were a disaster. BUT I am willing to give each program a chance.
Let me tell you when I found out CraveBox used Fedex SmartPost to ship I planned on cancelling immediately. Yes, I hate Fedex Smartpost THAT much where I won’t purchase products from companies that use them. I was shocked it only took 6 days to be delivered. Even though they use super slow smartpost I plan on keeping my subscription. I was more than happy with the products that I received and this box was worth way more than $10. I can’t expect future boxes to be this great, we all know how the first couple of boxes of sample programs are great then the bottom falls out. Cravebox just might be different but I won’t give them that just yet. What I can do is attest to their great customer service. I tweeted them and told them my chocolate was damaged and they are sending me a replacement. Other sample boxes didn’t even acknowledge my emails or tweets regarding damaged products much less send me out a replacement.
At the end of the day I highly suggest you join the CraveBox waitlist. It’s $10 a month and “The Cravebox Subscription Boxes will be a mix of products across different categories depending on the box theme. Limited Edition Boxes will be tightly focused on a single theme, topic, occasion or interest.” Hopefully they will open up more subscriptions soon. Cravebox is only available in the USA.
